Privacy Policy
Efforti is a product of RemoteDesk Private Limited. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
The short version
- Companies use Efforti to run short work check-ins with their teams. If you use Efforti at work, your employer decides what Efforti asks and who sees the answers. We run the service for them.
- We collect what you write in check-ins, the details needed to run your account and, if your employer turns them on, your WhatsApp number or your Google Chat name and email.
- AI drafts summaries and scores from your answers. A person at your company reviews a score and approves it before it counts. Your own managers can see it.
- We never collect screenshots, keystrokes, app usage, browsing activity or location.
- We do not sell personal data.
- Questions or requests: privacy@efforti.ai.
Who we are
Efforti is made by RemoteDesk Private Limited, a company registered in India (CIN U72900PN2020PTC191605). Our registered office is at Pride Valencia, Flat No. A-802, Sr. No. 292/6/1, 2, 3, 5, 7, Dhankude Wasti, Pune, Maharashtra 411045, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean RemoteDesk Private Limited.
This policy covers the Efforti app at agents.efforti.com, check-ins delivered through chat tools and WhatsApp, and our website at efforti.ai.
Your employer's role and ours
When your employer (our customer) adds you to Efforti, your employer decides why and how your check-in data is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, your employer is the Data Fiduciary for that data and we are its Data Processor. Under the EU and UK GDPR, your employer is the controller and we are the processor. We use that data only to run Efforti for your employer, as described in this policy.
We are directly responsible for the data of people who sign up for or manage a workspace, people who contact us or ask for a demo, and visitors to efforti.ai.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, work email, company, team, role and who you report to, and your sign-in details (a password or your Google account sign-in).
- Work check-ins: the questions Efforti asks you and the answers you write, including progress, plans, commitments and blockers, plus when each check-in was sent and answered.
- Chat content: messages you exchange with Efforti in the app or in a chat tool your employer connects, including questions managers ask Efforti about their team.
- Scores and reviews: draft scores, the rubric used, reviewers' edits and notes, and who approved each score.
- WhatsApp details: if your employer turns on WhatsApp check-ins, your mobile number, your WhatsApp profile name, the messages you exchange with Efforti on WhatsApp, and whether they were delivered and read.
- Google Chat details: if your employer connects Google Chat, your Google name, email address, Google user ID and timezone, the IDs of your direct message and threads with Efforti Assistant, and the messages, button taps and form answers you send there. See Google Chat below.
- Files your employer adds: reference documents a workspace admin uploads so agents have context.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs and audit records of actions taken in the app.
- Website and demo requests: what you submit in our demo form (name, work email, company, team size and anything you choose to tell us), and website analytics if you accept analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
What we never collect: screenshots or screen recordings; keystrokes, app usage or browsing activity; location or presence tracking; or anything you type outside a check-in or a message to Efforti.
Why we use it
- To run the check-ins your employer sets up: send questions at the scheduled time, collect your answers, and send a reminder if you have not replied.
- To turn answers into summaries, blockers and morning briefs for the people your employer chooses.
- To draft scores, if your employer turns scoring on. A score stays a draft until a person at your company approves it. Not replying shows as no reply; it is not turned into a negative score. Efforti does not make hiring, firing, pay or promotion decisions; people at your company do.
- To deliver messages through WhatsApp or the chat tools your employer connects.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent misuse and keep audit records.
- To support our customers, send service messages and bill for the service.
- To reply to demo requests and, only if you accept analytics cookies, to see which pages of our website help people.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use your check-ins for advertising.
Who can see your information
- You: your own check-ins and, once a score is approved, the score with its rubric, its basis and who approved it.
- People your employer chooses: usually your own managers and team leads, and your company's workspace admins. A draft score is visible only to the reviewing manager until it is approved.
- Our team: a small number of RemoteDesk staff, only when needed to support your employer, keep the service secure or meet a legal requirement.
- Service providers: the providers listed below, only to run the service.
- Authorities: when the law requires us to share information.
We never share one customer's data with another customer.
Service providers we use
These providers (sub-processors) handle personal data for us, only to run Efforti and our website:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform): delivers WhatsApp check-ins and replies when your employer turns WhatsApp on. Meta processes your number and message content to deliver them.
- OpenAI and Anthropic (AI model providers): process check-in and chat text to draft summaries, find blockers and draft scores. Under the business terms we use with them, they do not train their models on this data.
- Google: Google sign-in, Google Chat delivery when your employer connects it, the Google Cloud services that support those integrations, and Google Analytics on our website if you accept analytics cookies.
- Private cloud hosting: the Efforti application and its databases run in a private cloud environment.
- Render: hosts our website, efforti.ai.
- Web3Forms: delivers demo requests from our website form to our inbox.
We update this list when it changes. Customers can ask for the current list at privacy@efforti.ai.
Google Chat
If your employer connects Google Chat, Efforti sends your check-ins, blockers, plans, tasks and team notices to a direct message with the Efforti Assistant app in Google Chat, and you can answer them there.
What we receive from Google. When you message Efforti Assistant, or tap a button or fill in a form on one of its cards, Google Chat sends us: your name, email address and Google user ID; the ID of your direct message with Efforti Assistant and of its threads; your timezone setting; what you write to Efforti Assistant, and the buttons and form answers you submit; and a notice when the app is added to or removed from your Google Chat. Each message from Google also includes your profile photo link and basic Google account details; we do not keep these.
What Efforti Assistant cannot see. It works only in your direct message with it and cannot be added to group spaces. It cannot read any of your other chats or messages, and it has no access to your contacts, files, calendar or email. It uses one Google permission, which lets it receive the messages sent to it and reply as itself. It never acts as you in Google.
How we use it. Only to provide the features you see in Google Chat: to match you to your Efforti account using your email address, to send you your check-ins and notifications, to answer your messages and save your replies to your workspace exactly as if you had used the app, and to show times in your timezone. If no Efforti account uses your email address, we tell you so and do not save your Google Chat details. To write replies, your messages are processed by OpenAI and Anthropic, as described in "Service providers we use". We do not use information received from Google to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
Sharing and access. Information from Google Chat is shared only as described in "Who can see your information" and "Service providers we use". We do not sell it or transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers, and we do not use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, or surveillance. Our staff do not read it, except with your permission (for example, when you ask for support), to investigate a security problem, a bug or abuse, when the law requires it, or when it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
Security. Information from Google Chat is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request from Google Chat is checked to confirm it comes from Google before we process it.
Keeping and deleting it. Your Google Chat details are kept while you have an Efforti account, and are deleted with it. What you send through Google Chat is workspace data, kept and deleted as described in "How long we keep it". You can remove Efforti Assistant from your Google Chat at any time; we then stop messaging you there until you message it again. Your company's Google Workspace admin can uninstall it for everyone. Messages Efforti Assistant has sent you are stored by Google in your Google Chat, under your employer's agreement with Google, and follow your company's Google Chat settings.
Google API Services User Data Policy. Efforti's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use of information received from Google Workspace APIs also adheres to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy.
Changes. If Efforti Assistant starts to use a new type of Google information, or to use it in a new way, we will update this section and ask for consent before we do.
Where your data is processed
We are based in India and Efforti runs in a private cloud environment. Some of the providers above, including Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, process data in other countries, including the United States. When we transfer personal data outside India we follow Indian law, and we do not transfer it to any country the Government of India has restricted. For personal data covered by the EU or UK GDPR, we use the safeguards those laws require, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Workspace data (check-ins, chat content, scores, WhatsApp details, Google Chat details and files): kept while your employer's subscription is active. When the subscription ends, or when your employer asks, we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. Deleted data can stay in backups for a limited time until those backups are overwritten.
- Account and billing records: kept for as long as Indian tax and company law require.
- Demo requests: kept while we are in conversation with you, and deleted when you ask us to.
- Website analytics: kept by Google Analytics for the retention period set in our Analytics account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used, and give you a copy;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it;
- stop using it where you gave consent, for example for analytics cookies;
- let someone you nominate exercise your rights if you die or cannot act (India);
- restrict or object to some uses, and give you your data in a portable format (EU and UK).
How to ask. If you use Efforti through your employer, your employer controls your workspace data. You can ask your employer directly, or write to privacy@efforti.ai and we will pass your request to them and help them act on it. For anything else, write to privacy@efforti.ai, from the email address on your account if you have one. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We will respond within 30 days.
Stopping WhatsApp check-ins. Ask your employer to move you to the app or a chat tool, or write to privacy@efforti.ai.
Stopping Google Chat. Remove Efforti Assistant from your Google Chat, ask your workspace admin to uninstall it, or write to privacy@efforti.ai.
